HE Lecturer

The role is to ensure the retention and achievement of students through the delivery of good practice in teaching and learning. This involves the teaching and development of a range of subjects across the vocational business curriculum on BA (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year in Business, BA (Hons) Business Management and HND in Business. Carry out student inductions and contribute to the design of induction programmes. Carry out academic progress reviews, including the completion of necessary documents such as predicted grade sheets. Where appropriate, act as a named tutor and liaise with the Centre’s attendance. Ensure that basic skills initial and diagnostic assessments are undertaken and that students receive effective learning support. Total weekly hours of work would be 37.5 hours per week. Education:

• Degree or Professional Experience 1 year (preferred)
• An advanced teaching qualification, Advanced HE fellowship or willingness to work towards.
• Experience in IQA/IV processes with relevant qualification – desirable.
• Experience delivering Pearson BTEC vocational qualifications – desirable.

• Good classroom practice.

• Experience of using IT within the curriculum.
