Job Description

Management Consultant (AVP / Director) – Retail / Grocery Sector

£150K - £170K + Excellent Benefits + Bonus

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial AVP / Director level Consultant to join a high-growth Retail & Consumer Products capability within a people-centric Global Management Consultancy based in Central London.

The Management Consultant (AVP / Director) will have expertise in leading new business opportunities and selling solutions, client relationship management and building high performing teams to deliver successful programmes of work that provide real value to customers.

You will be responsible for supporting big brand grocery, retail and online customers with their most challenging problems, delivering complex business and technology transformation, driving innovation and delivering sustainable process improvement.

The ideal AVP / Director Management Consultant will have the following:

  • 10+ years of management consulting, advisory, professional services and/or Big 4 consulting experience with big brand grocers or retailers.
  • Credibility and recent proven expertise developing multi-million pound growth and expansion strategies for new and existing Fortune 500 client accounts within the Retail, Grocery and Consumer Products Sector
  • Experience of landing and running multi-year, £MM Technology and Business Change, Digital & Data or workforce (Op Model, OD etc) transformation programmes.
  • Consulting background in Programme Management, Product Management, Org Design or Business & Tech transformation.
  • Ability to design simple solutions to complex challenges.
  • Experience leading business expansion opportunities within existing accounts and creating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to build high performing teams and to help others develop and grow.
  • Proposal development experience and a proven ability to effectively sell business solutions to clients.
  • Success in driving significant client account growth.
  • Demonstrated success leading a geographically distributed team
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. A master's degree and/or professional certificates are bonuses

Salary: £150K - £170K Basic + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2 days on site)

Candidates without a consulting background in expanding relationships within big brand Grocery / Retail customers will not be considered.
