Job Summary

Great opportunity for a Power Platform Developer to join a large, UK/EU (re)insurer to work on their in-house applications. As Power Platform Developer, you will work with and support the Lead Developer to enhance previous developments, build new applications, create & manage APIs and assist with the maintenance of in-place programs.

Using Microsoft PowerApps, PowerAutomate, SQL, and other emerging tools, you will be responsible for the creation of applications and code they develop. Using new technologies, agile methodologies, and working with SCOR Operations and the insurance business.

Responsibilities

  • Support with code creation for any new developments / enhancements
  • Peer-review of developments
  • Create new applications
  • Work with the business to understand requirements
  • Analyse requirements with the team; propose and discuss solutions
  • Develop and perform Dev Testing before releasing to UAT
  • Create & Maintain APIs
  • Maintain Current Developments
  • Support with user queries
  • Bug fixes
  • Weekly Change Approval Board (CAB ) participation as appropriate
  • Present changes / updates on developments
  • Understand dependencies and advise CAB appropriately of conflicts / impacts
  • Ensure good governance
  • Changes and associated documentation is stored centrally
  • Testing is documented
  • Communication to users are timely and appropriate

Required Experience

  • MS Power Platform
  • Canvas Apps
  • Model-Driven Apps
  • Forms, JavaScript, Knowledge of Plugins (with C#)
  • PowerAutomate
  • Technical Testing
  • Database knowledge in SQL Server and SQL
  • Understanding of Data Modelling
  • C# Experience – API development
