As such Technicians are provided with a high degree of autonomy, responsibility, and influence. The role of Technician is one of a supervisor, and as such requires understanding of resource management, personnel management, and personnel development, having responsibilities within all three elements. The Technician may from time to time be required to be involved with the direct delivery of maintenance tasks, activities, and requirements, as well as to feedback progress, issues, advice, and information relevant to the effective operation and running of the department in line with its processes and requirements.
