Despite year on year sales and profit growth from the Black Country site, it is in a prime position to be developed operationally, incorporating progressive and modern operational and manufacturing methods that will not only increase capacity and profitability, but will also improve the working culture.
Reporting to the MD, leading Design, Materials and Production teams, you will have the autonomy to be able to express creativity without the usual constraints of large corporate organisations (whilst still harnessing the synergies of the other companies in the group) and have freedom to restructure and lead a transformation journey. As the business scales you will lead the people agenda, recruiting and training a growing team.
Having seen what good looks like earlier in your career, as a proven Operations Manager/Production Manager, you will have experience of taking the progressive and modern methods you have learnt and successfully transforming less mature (likely SME) environments to increase capacity and profitability.
* Be easily adaptable to changes led by business demand, with the ability to positively influence adaptability and change in those around them.
* Be experienced in heavy manufacturing manufacturing environments such as sheet metal, fabrication, laser cutting or welding.
