Are you an experienced Sales / Estimating Engineer with CNC Machining knowledge? Our client is a long-established, reputable and family-run engineering company. They work within a number of sectors, including Aerospace, F1, Oil & Gas and Defense. They're now looking to recruit a Sales Estimator to join their sales team in Leighton Buzzard.

As Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for providing technical estimates for incoming work, and liaising closely with customers, suppliers, and the company's production team, to ensure accurate estimates are provided.
This role would suit an experienced estimator, or previously experienced CNC machinist, who is looking for a new challenge in an office environment and apply their excellent IT skills and experience to a customer-focused role.

Receive, review and reply to Customer RFQ s and their engineering drawings
Liaising with customers over the phone and via email, regarding technical and non-technical questions, providing a client-centric service
Understand and identify machining methods of manufacture and select accurate cycle times (CNC Turning & Boring experience a distinct advantage)
Reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings and creating accurate process plans
Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility
Source supplier/subcontractor quotations, developing new and existing supplier relationships
Extensive experience in precision engineering is required with extensive knowledge of machine capabilities/machining practices
Computer literacy is essential
An excellent working knowledge of mechanical engineering
Commitment and drive to enhance the performance of the business
You'll be working Monday Thursday 8.20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period for full shutdown
