General All Purpose Plastics is an esteemed manufacturer of UPVC Building Plastics for the construction industry, with a vast experience of more than three decades. Our range of products includes soffits, fascias, guttering, drainage systems, and other roofline products, all of superior quality and offered at competitive prices. As part of our growth strategy, we're looking to hire a Key Account Manager to help us expand our presence in the Wales and South West region.

We require a Key Account Manager for our Commercial Sales team, GAP Nationals, who can sell our range of products, such as UPVC Building Plastics, Roofline products, and Above-Ground Drainage systems, establish new relationships, and grow sales. Join our team, which deals with large national housebuilders, contractors, subcontractors, local authorities, and housing association clients.

Key responsibilities

As a Key Account Manager/Business Developer in UPVC Building Plastics, Roofline products, and Above-Ground Drainage systems, you will have an excellent opportunity to work with a leading name in the sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with direct experience in the UPVC Building plastics, Roofline products, and Above-Ground Drainage systems industry. You will be responsible for your region and the growth of your portfolio of Key clients. Dealing directly with Specifiers and Architects, you can confidently promote and sell UPVC Building plastics and associated Roofline Products to the UK Construction market.

For your efforts, you will be rewarded with autonomy, an excellent basic salary, a bonus scheme, and a supportive, professional working environment. The position offers a basic salary of up to £50,000 (Depending on Experience + Bonus OTE £65 - £80k+), 25 Days Holiday Entitlement, Company Car, Mobile and Laptop.

Skills and experience

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, and Sales Account Manager.
  • Track record of increasing existing key account sales and generating new business through long-lasting relationships.
  • Knowledge of PVC-U building products and sales through distribution channels in the construction sector would be highly desirable.
  • Having the ability to communicate, present, and influence key customers at all levels of an organization.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving and being able to work collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to travel with a Full UK Driving License.
