The Harpenden Building Society have a new opportunity to assist the Commercial team with a Commercial Product Support. Based at the Head Office in Harpenden, the role will support the Society Commercial Managers in the ongoing development of our mortgage and savings proposition, as well as managing our mortgage retention process and implementation of rate changes. The role will be based in the office at least 4 days a week. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day support to the Commercial Managers for mortgages and savings as required including ad hoc market analysis and key data preparation, as well as coordinating rate changes and new product launches
  • Managing the mortgage retention communication process to ensure timely and accurate communications and monitoring of results.
  • Collating competitor information and inputs for the weekly Operational ALCO.
  • Assisting with mortgage and savings rate change implementations.
  • Supporting Commercial Managers for mortgage and savings product reviews.
  • Assisting with UAT testing of new system changes.
  • Identifying process and system improvements to improve customer experience and/or internal processes and controls.
  • Work closely with teams across the business including Sales, Operations and Marketing on adhoc projects/initiatives as required.
  • Assistance where required in launching new mortgage and savings products
The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and qualifications:
  • Financial services experience required, ideally in mortgages and/or savings. This role may be the candidates first step towards a Commercial/Product Management role.
  • Ideally knowledge of MCOB/BCOB standards
  • Good communication skills required
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Analytical in approach
  • Customer centric
  • Confidence to work with people at all levels, including Senior Management
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative
