To lead the management and continuous improvement of accident and investigations within the Route, in line with best practice and company policy and procedures. Lead the production and management of accident and incident investigations to identify root causes in order that lessons can be learned and actions taken to reduce future risk.
develop local accident investigation capability through acting as a mentor and coach to individuals charged with implementing recommendations.
Lead the management of mechanisms to measure, report and track progress with accident and incident investigations and resultant recommendations.
Provide advice on the application of the accident and incident investigation processes, drawing on best practice and support as necessary to promote improvements in the quality of investigation processes and outputs.
Good knowledge of railway operations, engineering, safety and environmental management
• Able to demonstrate being a logical thinker, with good analytical skills and computer operating skills
Level 6 NEBOSH or Degree or equivalent
