The Early Interventions in Psychosis (EIP) team are looking to recruit a compassionate and highly skilled colleague to join the EIP management team. The team leader would work alongside the wider EIP management team including the North team and Service manager, to develop the service as part of the ambitions in the NHS long term plan.
To provide continuing management, leadership and development responsibilities ensuring the effective delivery of clinical/evidence-based practice by the team to a diverse group of patients, their families and carers, in accordance with quality practice and procedures. Ensuring all performance management and clinical governance arrangements are in place.

This is an exciting time for the EIP service as we are at the cusp of launching the At-Risk Mental State pathway and the right candidate would join us as the beginning of this journey and have the opportunity to shape this new element to the service. The EIP team prides itself on offering high quality evidenced based care to service users and their support network, but also being a warm and supportive team that looks out for one another.
Professional clinical qualification plus further specialist knowledge/post registration experience to diploma / degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills in mental health underpinned by theory or other formal training
Maintain current registration with the NMC / HPCP or other governing body and adheres to the code of professional practice
Demonstrates continuing Professional development within their specialism
Management and Leadership qualification and experience
Evidence of ongoing professional development in a variety of formats

Training
Willingness to undertake new clinical practices, education and training that will enhance service delivery


Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and understanding of clinical risk assessments
Knowledge of the principals of medication management and concordance
Knowledge of education of others and identification of training requirements

Awareness of national and local issues impacting of nursing care
Awareness of national and local issues impacting EIP
Knowledge of management theories

Demonstrate leadership and management skills and qualities


A high level of emotional intelligence


Full driving license and access to a vehicle or ability to travel to other site
