HDR are currently looking for Contract Mechanical and Senior Mechanical Engineers with Data Centre experience.
You will be required to produce detail design and installation design of complete mechanical systems for Data Centres in conjunction with our Sales, Technical and Project Management teams. With a keen eye for detail, you will be conversant with all aspects of mechanical engineering in critical environments. Whilst you will be a competent & experienced designer, we are looking for a self-starter that can manage and develop resources to meet project demands whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence and regulatory compliance and work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Carry out engineering concept design through to detailed design.
Ensure all design projects and reports within the group are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Set objectives, monitor performance, coach and develop staff to optimise their potential.
Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
Ensure Quality Management System ISO 9001 and 14001 are adhered to.
Minimum 3 years' experience in Mechanical Design for Data Centre/Mission Critical projects is essential.
Experience, especially in designing and managing projects.
Wide experience of critical mechanical systems, HVAC engineering and multiple levels of resilience including cooling, ventilation, humidification, fuel oil and flue systems.
Large scale chilled water and adiabatic cooling systems experience.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Previous experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings.
Experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software.
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
