WHAT TO EXPECT

This position sits within our Accessories team which acts as an independent function within JLR and are responsible for delivering a wide range of products aimed at enhancing and optimising the client experience of our vehicles. The Accessories Concept Phase Attributes Lead will report to the Accessories Attributes Manager and will work closely within the relevant JLR Attributes, Engineering and Commercial teams, taking responsibility for the development of attributes deliverables in the early programme stages to ensure our products align to the identities of JLR brand houses and global compliance requirements.

In this role you will lead Accessories attributes targets and product character definition, cascading effectively within all relevant programme teams, supporting programme Concept Phase gateways and milestones. You will conduct and report on relevant market and competitor research by planning and supporting effective product and vehicle benchmarking activities.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

In this position you will work with Attributes, Integration, Strategy and Innovations representatives to ensure robust attributes character and target definition through completion of vehicle or product benchmarking and futuring activities.

Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Physical and virtual testing, measurement and visual assessments

  • Planning, implementing & conducting relevant data gathering activities to feed customer experience, product use cases and subsequent Attributes targets development

  • Ensure benchmarking and data gathering makes use of best practices and maximises use of internal tools and sources such as fleet and warranty data, immersion events and customer insights reports

  • Coordinate and drive commodity requirements population to support defined product character

  • Work with system owners to ensure robust target and requirements cascade in support of overall vehicle level targets (e.g. via RMDV, Doors, TRM)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

We are looking for an Attributes Lead that has the ability to define and deliver attribute targets as well as proven experience of vehicle and product appraisal, benchmarking and testing.

Essential:

  • Clear history and experience of working within a vehicle engineering environment, ideally with an exposure to a range of attributes delivery

  • A broad knowledge in product engineering and technologies, as well as a keen interest in global industry trends

  • Experience of defining and delivering to attribute targets and requirements using a data driven approach

  • Experience of planning, implementing and conducting vehicle and product appraisal, benchmarking, testing and sign-off activities

  • Knowledge of engineering project management fundamentals
