The Civil Contract Manager’s primary responsibilities include project management, reporting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, contract audits, and sharing the lessons learned throughout the process.
You will ensure contract specifications are adhered to by contract holders, oversee the technical surveillance of contract holder studies, establish surveillance programmes and annual reports, resolve technical queries, organise and run weekly and monthly progress meetings. You will also work to improve contract tools, lead contractual discussions, and prepare, review, and analyse Early Warnings and Compensation Events, in addition to reviewing and validating monthly payment applications. Reporting duties include preparing and delivering financial and progress reports. As part of your risk management duties, you will maintain the risk register of the contracts. Stakeholder management involves liaising with different entities from the client organisation. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting quality and financial audits of the contract holder, and recording and sharing the lessons that have been learnt from both current activities and previous projects, for the benefit of others on the project.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, along with practical experience in contract management and a solid understanding of contract regulations and relevant laws. You have a technical background as a Civil Engineer, and you have a working experience on structural analysis. You possess strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
