Montu is a leading cannabis company with operations in Europe and Asia-Pacific. We facilitate access to cannabis through locally integrated ecosystems that streamline the patient experience from end-to-end and set new standards in Cannabis Care.
Our mission: improve the lives of millions of people through cannabis therapies. Medical cannabis has already been legalised in more than 50 countries across the world over recent years, unlocking a huge potential for medical, wellness, and ultimately recreational markets. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management. The role is mostly remote but will require regular travel to our Reading offices 1 day per week.
Responsibilities will include but not be restricted to Accounting and Reporting:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory bodies as required.
Oversee banking relationships.
Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent).
Experience in the medical cannabis industry is a plus.
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, Excel).
