Major Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our clients team at a factory located in Motherwell, specifically within the Eurocentral area. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the factory premises to ensure a safe and pleasant working environment for all staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of factory floors, corridors, and common areas.
2. Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
3. Dispose of waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces as needed.
5. Ensure cleanliness of machinery and equipment used in the factory.
6. Follow proper safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing cleaning tasks.
7. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
8. Adhere to cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes.
9. Collaborate with colleagues and other staff members to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the factory.

Requirements:

1. Prior experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
4. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
5. Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
6. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is desirable.

1. Competitive hourly rate of £11.44 per hour.
