The Systems Engineering Director at AllPoints Fibrewill be responsible for leading our IT and Systems functions . Reporting into the CTO this role is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in shaping our IT operations strategy.

What you will be doing:

In this role you willlead I.T. and Systems Engineering organisations, responsible for leading the teams tasked with the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the complex systems and infrastructure that are critical to our operations, while ensuring the corporate I.T. strategy and operations are aligned an supporting our business goals.

Day to day tasks will include

  • Defining the strategic direction and roadmap for systems engineering initiatives, aligning them with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Leadingour team of Systems Engineers who are responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our telecommunications systems, including OSS, BSS, network management systems, network planning and design tools and network monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and external development partners,to ensure seamless integration, alignment and operation of our systems and processes.
  • Implementing and leveraging multi-modal generative AI solutions to improve operational efficiencies will be advantageous.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements at all times, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems.
  • Negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to system uptime, reliability, and performance, taking proactive measures to address issues and optimize system performance.

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineering Director with strong experience in the telecommunications sector. You will be passionate aboutdriving innovation and continuous improvement in systems architecture, design, and performance, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices in the telecommunications industry.

A natural leader andmentor fostering aculture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the team.The successful candidate will alsohave experience leading teams utilizing Agile processes while operating with a CI/CD delivery methodology, and be experienced in creating and promoting a DevOps culture.
