Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing compliance strategies across their UK offices.
  • Setting and implementing the firm’s overall compliance strategy across the UK with the Compliance Partner (COLP) and reporting to the Board in respect of same.
  • Acting as the firm’s assistant general counsel, in respect of all internal legal advice matters.
  • Updating the firm on regulatory changes and adapting the firm’s policies accordingly.
  • Overseeing client onboarding processes, including AML and sanctions.
  • Managing data privacy policies and IT security audits.
  • Advising on legal, ethical, and regulatory issues, including SRA’s Code of Conduct.
  • Maintaining risk registers, conflict registers, and regulatory records.

Essential Qualifications:

  • UK Qualified Lawyer with 5+ years PQE.
  • Experience in AML environments and SRA regulations.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy issues.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Experience in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
