Summary

Our client is global powerhouse in the utilities sector and a frontrunner in harnessing wind energy, standing tall as one of the largest integrated utility firms worldwide. Currently seeking for a senior Electrical Engineer to join the team

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Cable Engineer overseeing a critical package within global offshore projects.
  • Provide essential engineering advice, assessments, and recommendations to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of multi-contract packages, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols for regulatory compliance.
  • Offer professional advice on engineering strategies, risk levels, and commercial agreements to ensure cost-effective technical solutions and comprehensive risk evaluation.
  • Document all assessments, advice, and recommendations in accordance with internal procedures and industry standards.
  • Conduct technical and commercial due diligence to support business decisions.
  • Ensure full consideration and adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements in design, complying with legislation and industry best practices.
  • Manage inspection and testing of offshore plant aspects to ensure assets meet required quality and engineering standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest technical and commercial developments, identifying new technologies to reduce costs, mitigate risks, or enhance safety.
  • Implement offshore standards, procedures, tools, best practices, and quality requirements for key work packages, ensuring delivery according to specification, budget, and program while prioritizing safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a pertinent engineering field.
  • Attained or eligible for Chartered Engineer status.
  • Proficiency in offshore windfarm inter-array cable layout design.
  • Thorough familiarity with relevant standards like IEC60287, IEC63026, and Cigre TB 722. Proficient in Finite Element Modelling (FEM) tools such as Ansys or COMSOL for thermal rating of cables.
  • Extensive experience navigating health, safety, and environmental legislation pertinent to construction, marine, and offshore projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cable system design and associated engineering studies
