Senior Java Engineer
Are you passionate about modernizing technology stacks, upgrading legacy systems, and building robust web applications? Do you have the technical expertise to lead complex migrations, enhance user experiences, and ensure smooth integration with the latest tools? I’m partnering with a pioneering AI company whose premise is to help Datacentres and Industrial Manufacturers to reduce their energy output and improve their cost efficiency.

This innovative team is on a mission to revamp their systems, incorporating advanced web applications that empower both their clients and internal teams.

They’re assembling a specialized team for this major transformation and are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with deep experience in legacy migration, Node.js, and web applications to take a key role in the journey.

As our Senior Java Engineer, you will:
Lead the migration of legacy Java applications to updated Java versions and microservices architectures, enhancing both backend and web application functionalities.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize web solutions that meet scalability, usability, and performance standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both legacy and modernized environments, ensuring system stability and a high-quality user experience.

Extensive experience in Java, with a focus on migrating legacy applications to modern, scalable frameworks.

Strong experience developing and optimizing web applications for performance, accessibility, and user engagement.

️ Proficiency in Java (especially with legacy-to-modern transition experience) and Node.js.
Experience with web development frameworks, front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), and responsive design.
Solid understanding of databases, both relational and NoSQL.

Location : Remote, with very occasional travel to client sites
