We are working with a secondary school for young people aged 11-19 based in Coulson. Students attending have a range of needs from Autistic Spectrum Condition and ADHD, with Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Have a strategic overview of provision for pupils with SEN, monitoring and reviewing the quality of provision
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Deliver training and advice to staff regarding SEN strategies and regulations.
Carry out assessments to identify pupils' needs and ensure appropriate support is provided.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupils' progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
A successful Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) should have:
Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Excellent understanding of the SEN framework and regulations.
A valuable opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.
