Scotland A prestigious industrial contractor operating in environment, defence and energy sectors are currently looking for a Civil Works Design Manager with Waste to Energy plants experience, working on a waste treatment and recovery plant project in Scotland.
Our consulting client and expert services is a major contractor within the construction & engineering industry with over 100 years’ experience, with a current turnover of over £500m.
The candidate will be responsible for the design function of the project whilst reporting to the area director.
Provide advice and guidance on the “buildability” of the design proposals to the design and construction teams on all packages
~ Lead the development and management of the design deliverables programme
~ Lead gate reviews activities to ensure that they are timely and appropriate sign off is achieved at each project gate
~ Lead the co-ordination and production of design data, reports and documentation essential to the project and contractual requirements and report progress against the design deliverables programme
~ Proactively contribute to the Risk and Value Management process
~1 year contract with competitive day rate. Company is also working on other major projects around the U.K. therefore possibility for contract extension.
