Role Overview

Reporting to the Operational Lead Engineer, the Electrical Operations Engineer role is to ensure that the company derives the full market value from its operational renewable assets by providing technical support and governance. While primarily focused on the operational assets, the Operational Electrical Engineer will also be required to provide support across all pillars of the business as part of the central engineering function – R & D, Development, Construction, Operation, and Decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Support on electrical technical issues and providing technical support to the Asset Manager’s on matters that affect renewable asset performance.

Assist in creating and implementing the High Level Maintenance Policy and Long Term Strategy for all renewable assets under the area of responsibility.

Lead, with the support of the operational lead engineer, on the management of fleet-wide electrical technical issues or engineering risks and provide technical support to the Asset Manager’s on matters that affect asset performance.

Deliver improvement projects to operational assets.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of an Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered membership of an appropriate body would be an advantage. Previous experience in UK onshore/offshore Wind, solar PV, or BESS NEEDED Understanding and execution of the design processes for wind HV electrical systems (single line diagrams, schematics, technical specification, generating reports)
