The responsibility of the Head of Sales is to manage the Sales Teams in the UK and USA. Taking pride in growing the team's skill and identifying areas for improvement, regular meetings will be held to help individuals understand why they are valuable and help them to build on personal development. Education about products and solutions is key, as well as sales process education and techniques to improve close rate. Manage, educate and motivate the Anglosphere (UK&USA) sales team
Improve sales velocity
Over-achieve sales targets per product line
Report on the Sales team’s KPI’s metrics and performance levels
Be accountable for the sales team’s overall performance vs targets
Ensure the sales team hits gross margin targets (through training, development and personal sales coaching).
Develop and implement the Sales Playbook (establish and oversee process and compliance to operating procedures)
Perform HR requirements for the Sales team. Sales forecasting and pipeline management.
Reporting, dashboards, Account Plans, and individual performance measurement
Expand product penetration within existing key accounts
Comply with all ISO20071 Policies
Minimum five years experience in IT or technical solutions, services/SaaS sales
Minimum three years experience in sales team/people management
Salesforce (CRM) experience (competent using Salesforce Reporting)
Proven track record of sales number predictability & accuracy
Understanding of sales velocity
Successfully managed a new business and account management sales team
Experienced in a technical sales role (software, digital, gateway, API, IT services or software licensing)
Experience in strategic account management and complex sales processes
Experience in cultivating relationships with product partners and wider business units
Be able to demonstrate extensive sales team and people management experience
Previous experience in the Atlassian eco-system or working for an IT Services company a bonus
Experience within the Defence or Banking/Financial Services sector
Passionate about sales numbers, data and reporting across all aspects of a modern sales function.
Available to work with your sales team face in person at least once a week at our Southampton office
90k - £105k depending on experience, paid gross per annum. (UK-based hybrid-working with WEEKLY visits to our Southampton office. Please note, you must have a professional home working environment (eg. separate home office) and with reliable broadband.

This is a full-time / part-time / fixed-term contract position.
