If you love meeting new peopleand want to support those affected by dementia in your area, then we would loveto hear from you

As a Group Support Volunteer,you’ll encourage people affected by dementia to engage in activities such aspuzzles, quizzes and arts and crafts. A friendly face at the group, you’llwelcome and talk to people affected by dementia to help them feel comfortableand involved. You’ll also help set up and tidy away at the end of the group.

Your involvement in this rolewill ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similarsituation, access the support and information they need and enjoy meaningfulactivities.

Whereand when do I need to be available?

The group runs on the 3rdWednesday morning of every month, and you would need to be available from10:00am – 12:45pm.

We run from the RiversideCentre in Newport and go out to visit local attractions some months.About Alzheimer’s Society
