About the client:
Our client is a Home Appliances manufacturer organization undergoing strategic realignment and need to redefine and redesign their UK entity.
About the role:
The interim General Manager role is an essential role that will be responsible for analysing the current business model, including understanding the customer base, internal organizational and cost structure while ensuring continuity and operational efficiency during this period.
The goal for the project is for the GM to:
- Propose a new business model
- Review own vs 3rd party functions
- Approach new sales channels and drive efficiencies in existing customer base,
Key accountabilities
- Establishing company goals, aligned with the board and shareholder goals
- Plan and implement cost-effective business strategy and develop new ideas based on market and industry
- Developing, deploying, and operationalizing short and long-term, consumer and market knowledge data driven, strategies for the portfolio to drive top and bottom line
- Managing, supervising, developing and supporting the wider team
- Directing activities of the business while ensuring bottom-line profitability
- Implementing the policies of the Group and making sure that they are adhered to
- Develop reporting tools to monitor the ongoing performance of the company
- Communicating company reports and achievements to the board, shareholders, and business partners
Key tasks
- Define a new business model and implementation, including model for logistics, warehouse and after-sales service
- Define and implement new structure and processes based on new business model
- Break down the responsibility and actions plan into functions
- Develop and execute respective pricing strategies
- Support market share performance by the enhanced business model
- Influence and enable reaching of the subsidiaries key financial targets (gross profit)
- Stabilizing engagement and motivation in subsidiary
- Supporting the S/4Hana implementation in subsidiary
