4YP is a charity providing 7-25 year olds with somewhere safe, something positive and someone trusted. As we prepare to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to support the better communication of our services and impact, and to help raise our profile.
4YP believes that all children, young people and young adults (“CYP”) should have somewhere safe to go, something positive to do and someone trusted to connect and journey with. The mission of the charity is to respond with agility to the changing needs of CYP as they occur; ensure that CYP are confident to transition to the next stages of their lives; and, ensure that CYP are enabled to thrive and fulfil their potential.
What you will do in your working day
Developing marketing assets and materials that promote the work of the charity and the services available to children and young people
Planning, creating and sharing audio/visual content across a range of social media channels to demonstrate our services for children and young people and their impact
Supporting the Marketing and Communications Officer to develop campaigns that improve the brand and increase the reputation of the charity
Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent English Language and English Literature (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Art and Design, Computer Science, and Maths (Grade 4) Desired
Desired skills and personal qualities
Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Team working, Creative, Initiative
Training to be provided
Training provider GINGER NUT MEDIA LIMITED
The qualification received after successful completion of the course is Content Creator Level 3. There may also be Functional Skills Level 2 for maths if required.
Our training delivery is based on a remote, blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs. We find that this approach reduces disruption for the learners and their line managers giving everyone the best chance of benefitting from the training and completing the course.
Delivery of the standard is remote and is based around modules consisting of introduction, training, personal study, completion, and observation
Things to consider
You will be required to attend children and young people's activities, sometimes away from the office, to capture content.
Future Prospects
Potential permanent employment with the charity in a marketing role is possible depending on the available charitable resources at the time.
