Role Overview We have an exciting new opportunity for a Building Surveyor (newly chartered or due to sit their APC) to join our Building Surveying team in the South West. The position will ideally be based in our Exeter Office, but with the opportunity of flexible working across our South West offices.
The successful candidate will be joining our national Architecture and Building Surveying Team, servicing our established existing client base, as well as developing new clients and relationships both internally and externally. Our work focuses on traditional and historic built assets, predominantly within the rural sector and the great estates of the South West; the successful candidate should have a keen interest in historic buildings and local vernacular.
Conservation and heritage consultancy
• Building Surveys and reports (Condition Surveys, Pre Acquisition Surveys, Photographic Schedules etc.)
• Project management and contract administration
• Advising on current regulations and standards relating to building construction and energy efficiency
• Advising on construction design and management regulations
• Knowledge of traditional construction, working with historic and listed buildings
• Strong written communication and report writing skills with good attention to detail
• Use of CAD (Revit, AutoCAD or similar)
• Full driving licence and own vehicle 
This role is based in the multi-disciplinary Exeter office of 35+ staff. Our workbook is based on building strong, long term internal relationships with our colleagues and managed estates and our reputation in the South West for our heritage expertise.
