Impact expected- Operational efficiency - ensure we maintain a high rate of fleet availability
- Cost management - ensure that we control the cost of managing and servicing our fleet
- Compliance and safety - ensure the fleet and servicing area complies with all relevant legislation and policy
- Fleet upgrades - coordinate the rollout of new fleet upgrades with other core business functions
- Employee management - effective career manage a large team, covering 24/7 operations
- Data Analysis and Reporting - using data to drive efficiencies, availability and performance.
- Continuous improvement - we are the leaders of what we do in the UK and globally. Regulatory bodies come to us to see what ‘good’ looks like. Continuously improving what we’re doing, where we can, is crucial.
- Lead and manage the Fleet Servicing and Maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective operation in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Implement and oversee robust processes for tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and service quality.
- Develop and maintain a strong focus on Health and Safety (H&S) awareness, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Foster a customer-centric approach within the team, ensuring that all projects and initiatives are aligned with customer needs and expectations.
- Liaise with the leadership team and external partners, confidently presenting progress reports, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to align R&D activities with overall company objectives, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and innovations.
- Drive continuous learning and development within the team, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing.
Essential
- Proven experience as a Service Manager in a dealership or a similar role in an automotive/technology environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with a keen eye for efficiency and detail.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety protocols and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable in dealing with leadership and external stakeholders.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to align R&D activities with customer needs and business objectives.
