Reporting to our CEO, you will be responsible for running our finance operations, as well as leading the effective delivery of day-to-day financial controls and processes.
As an individual contributor, you will operate at the heart of our business, working with key internal stakeholders to further develop and mature our finance function.
Maintain and mature our finance function, working with key internal stakeholders such as the CEO, CTPO and other senior leaders..
Run day to day financial operations, including AR, AP, payroll, VAT, share options, pension scheme admin, expenses, payments, reconciliation, invoicing (with support from a part-time bookkeeper).
Review royalty reports before they are shared with our licensing partners to ensure they align with financial estimates.
Export and share monthly management finance reports; provide analysis and be a partner to the executive team to make informed business decisions.
Define, refine and run operational finance processes (e.g. payment approvals, financial reporting).
Own the planning and updating of our budgets, operating financial model and cash flow management.
Manage financial relationships with our banks, clients and suppliers.
Prepare the annual company statutory accounts.
Develop the organisation's financial policies and ensure they are adequate and followed by the team.
Manage tax matters and planning, including R&D tax credits (with the assistance of external counsel where relevant).
You have at least 5 years work experience in an accounting or finance role
You are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
You are an Excel and Google Sheets wizard and have strong financial-modeling skills.
You're flexible and willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute in other areas.
~ You are an excellent communicator (email, phone and in-person).

~ You will take joy in championing the importance and role of finance within the wider team (acting as a financial mentor to the team)
