Senior Associate to Counsel

Leading offshore law firm seeks aspiring barristers / solicitors with circa 5-15yrs+ PQE developed with a top tier Commercial / Chancery Chambers or international law firm for its busy BVI office. The ideal candidates will be extremely bright, motivated andhave developed experience with regardscorporate litigation, with particular focus on shareholder and boardroom disputes, contested takeovers, contentious / non-contentious solvent and insolvent corporate restructuring and complex insolvency matters. There will also be plenty oftrust litigation, asset tracing and fraud litigation thrown into the mix.
The team is both vibrant and collegiate, led by an approachable and supportive group of partners which will see the new hire benefit from ongoing mentoring and development while getting their hands on matters from an early stage, taking responsibility for multiple filesand dealing directly with clients and onshore counsel.
Ideally applicants will possess strong advocacy skills had have some experience of offshore disputes as well as an appreciation of what life is like working/living in the Caribbean, particularly on a smaller island such as the BVI. It is very important to the team that thesuccessful candidate is prepared to make a long term commitment to working offshore and in return will benefit from agenuinecareer path, flexible working arrangements and a very attractive remuneration package.
