About our Team  

 

Data is at the core of what we do at Cirium. Unlike many businesses, our data isn’t about our customers. It’s about various facets of aviation: flights, aircraft, tickets, schedules, and more. We need to be able to work with this data in an agile fashion to develop new insights and solve customer problems. About the Role  

 

The Software Engineer works in a cross-functional team with the charter of building new capabilities into a structured, well-organized and governed data platform. This team consists of engineers passionate about data, infrastructure, and about building a platform that enables engineers to work with data in an agile and effective manner. 

 

Responsibilities  

 

  • Designing and building the infrastructure for ingest and egress for both batch and streaming data
  • Collaborating with teams across our business to assist them in utiliszing platform components or planning new features 
  • Implementing modern development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews 
  • Performing all parts of the lifecycle, including infrastructure build, code, deployment, QA, and monitoring
  • Delivering high-quality features through good agile, CI/CD and DevOps practices, and growing your skills toward engineering excellence. 

 
Requirements  

 

  • Experience with AWS data stack (such as S3, Glue, Athena,) 
  • Experience with infrastructure as code Terraform, Cloudformation,
  • Have working SQL knowledge and experience working with several relational databases 
  • Experience in Python
  • Have good interpersonal and written communications skills
