The Role

Remuneration: c.£35k (depending on experience)

We are excited to be hiring in an Impact Stewardship Analyst. This role supports the Chief Impact (CIO) within the Impact Team. This is a junior role and involves assisting the CIO, the Impact and Stewardship team more broadly, the Chief Investment Officer and Investment Team in voting strategy, implementation, analysis, and reporting of stewardship activities across third party funds and direct equities, as well as conducting research to support engagements.

In this role you will:

· Work to further refine and agree the stewardship strategy and priorities for annual and multi-year engagements.

· Collaborate with the CIO to improve the breadth and depth of our stewardship priorities and assess opportunities for collective agency and collaboration, as well as campaigns.

· Assist in vote decision-making for shareholder meetings by conducting research and analysis on crucial matters outlined in our annual stewardship priorities plan.

· Support with the monitoring and reporting of stewardship activities to both internal and external stakeholders.

· Working with the Impact Manager, support the research and analysis to back the impact and investment teams in conducting engagements with companies. 

The role reports to the Chief Impact Officer (CIO).

Experience, key skills and competency requirements:  

· Experience of conducting stakeholder engagement, preferably with some experience of either doing this in finance and/or in complex environments. Minimum one year experience.

· Knowledge in one or more topics related to Tribe’s impact investing universe (e.g. SBT/Climate Risk, DEI, Nature, Stakeholder Aligned Governance, UN SDG delivery, Workers Rights etc).

· Knowledge of relevant ESG reporting frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, SBTi, Transition Pathways Initiative, etc.

· Familiarity with relevant stewardship codes of conduct (e.g. the UK Stewardship Code).

· Good knowledge of data management software, e.g. Excel. SQL programming experience desired but not essential.

· Ability to navigate an increasingly complex environment and maintain focus on our core fiduciary responsibility.

· Master’s degree in a sustainability-related field preferred.

· Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to present information in an organized, clear, and engaging way to a range of stakeholders.

· Strong interpersonal skills with comfort working independently and within a team setting.

· Ability to work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating initiative and the ability to prioritize workloads.

· Language skills desirable but not critical.
