You lead the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) process of the site quality management system and report results to the quality section manager.

How you will contribute

Lab based role directly involved in generation and reporting of analytical data pertinent to QC raw material and finished product release.

  • Analyst to execute with minimal supervision defined primary tasks according to the regulatory, statutory, or client defined standards/ requirements applicable using equipment, materials and methodology as detailed by testing schedule/Lead Analyst
  • To capture and record as required any data generated related to the execution of the primary tasks in appropriate format and within suitable time frame
  • Counter-checking and approval of all work carried out by analytical team; chromatography/ lab note book to be carried out by each other following training
  • To identify any Out of Specification/ Out of Trend results and to notify to your line manager in a suitable time frame, including appropriate actions to address the issues.
  • Analyst to work as detailed by QC line management and compliance functions to ensure lab delivers against these measures
  • Analysts to be pro-active in identifying any issues and flagging to QC line management and QC compliance function as appropriate; offering appropriate actions to address as required
  • Analyst to ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety systems and legislation applicable to the working environment
  • To develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Analyst to comply with all appropriate EJ defined Quality systems, processes and procedures
  • To carry out other secondary level tasks that support or enable QC analytical activities to be completed
  • Analyst to manage testing of Reference Standards to ensure adherence to Reference Standard programme
  • Analysts to flag levels of lab consumables including solvent & gas cylinder inventory and calibration/servicing schedule to Lead Analyst
  • To undertake general housekeeping of laboratory in accordance with collaboration / servicing / maintenance schedules All duties must be carried in line with all the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, SOP’s, Company Policies and guidelines set out by Ernest Jackson relating to your employment, duties and associated tasks
  • These must be followed at all times with any & all deviations from process escalated appropriately
  • Any other duties considered to be reasonable by your Line Manager.

Er nest Jackson & Co Ltd is an autonomous legal entity of Mondelēz International which manufactures and supplies a range of branded, private label and contract manufactured healthcare products in confectionery format to the UK grocery and pharmacy sector and a range of contract and export customers and markets the branded range to UK consumers, fully responsible for brand equity, product quality, communications, pricing, promotions. Governed by UK MHRA licensing, UK food and UK and EU food supplement regulations. Within EJ the QC department works closely with Customer Services function to ensure that testing of product is completed in a timely manner enabling, packing and shipment of stock to meet Customer demands. Stability testing to support Customer Demands.

Work schedule: Monday - Thursday (8AM-6PM)
