Finance Assistant

Paying up to £30k + benefits - Based in Oldham, North Manchester our client is a successful engineering business that are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their expanding finance team. This is an office-based role working from 8.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Finance Assistant you will be supporting the Financial Controller and the wider finance team in all areas of the company accounts and financial systems.
As Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:
Providing support to the accounts processes for purchase, sales, and the nominal ledgers.
Dealing with general accounts queries (including debt recovery).
Database monitoring and system development.
Assisting with the preparation of the both the financial and management accounts.
Assisting with financial and management reporting.
Assisting the Financial Controller and Finance Director with any ad hoc accounting duties as required.
Qualified AAT Level 3 or above (preferred).
A solid understanding of accountancy principles.
