A renowned, systematic hedge fund that trade a host of asset classes across global markets, are looking to onboard an entry level Quantitative Researcher to their research and trading team.

Based in a prime central London location - you will be working with like minded individuals who come from a quantitative background, identifying trading opportunities and coming up with unique strategies to generate the firm increased profits.

You will be analysing large, noisy data sets on a daily basis and designing and implementing statistical models using your mathematical and coding skills.

They offer a strong compensation package, as well as their being a clear path for progression in the business.

A PhD qualification from a highly regarded university in a quantitative subject is a necessity for the position, with no financial experience being necessary.

Requirements/ Qualifications

  • A PhD in one of the following subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, etc.
  • High level of programming proficiency in one of python, C++ or Java
  • A problem solver with strong communication skills
  • An eagerness to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment

Day to Day:

  • Analysing large datasets to uncover trading opportunities and signals
  • Develop and implement trading strategies on the firm's automated platform
  • Ensure all processes and data requirements are adequate before market open
  • Monitoring the markets and performance of strategies
