Infrastructure Engineer - Contract - (Outside IR35)

Initially 6 months - £450 - £480

Oxfordshire (2-3 days Onsite)

I am recruiting an experienced Wintel / Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 6-month engagement with a market leading organisation based in Oxfordshire.

You will be working on a variety Platform and Infrastructure projects and will be responsible for helping to deliver the end to end enterprise IT infrastructure strategy and vision.

Working alongside a mix of internal resources and third-party suppliers across architecture, engineering, delivery and support, you will be part of a team responsible for infrastructure services including cloud hosting, networking, infrastructure applications and end-user computing at a third line level.

Essential skills and experience required:

Hold a minimum of 5 years Windows server management experience
Previous experience working in mixed on-premise/cloud environments including Azure and AWS
Be familiar with Infrastructure technologies and tools, such as VMWare ESXi, Google workspace, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/LLMNR, Microsoft SCCM, Meraki wifi, and Cisco VPN
Be willing to rapidly learn new technologies outside of your current skill set and have an understanding of enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, VPN, routing and switching, and firewalls
Competent using Cloud Computing Services, such as LAAS, PAAS, SAAS, and IAAS
Experienced in writing, testing and deploying Powershell scripts
Knowledgeable in ManageEngine, specifically AD Audit
An understanding of enterprise best practice infrastructure management with a desire to include the use of automation/orchestration, telemetry, DR, monitoring, and logging to improve servicesrs
Working knowledge of current and future information security threats and the best way to prevent
High levels of energy, drive and resilience, with the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic
Strong interpersonal skills with an inherent ability to effectively communicate with others.Start date - As soon as possible - ideally no more than 2 week notice period
