Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Based in Wolverhampton Up to £31,000 + additional earnings + EXCELLENT benefits A prestigious organisation specialising in the building maintenance industry are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their friendly team. The role will be to carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance for a private organisation who manage a hospital building. This will include repairing and responding to breakdowns on air handling units, boilers, HVAC, general electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Training will be provided so don't worry if you do not have exposure to this type of equipment They are looking for someone who perhaps has some experience as an Electrical Improver, Electricians mate, Facilities technician, Maintenance technician, Handyperson, multi skilled technician/engineer, or have worked in general building maintenance or in the BMS industry. It is a Monday to Friday role (8am - 5pm) and once settled you will be expected to take part in an on-call rota. This is 1 in 4 starting on a Fri at 5pm until Fri at 8am the following week. General duties:
- Upkeep of the facilities - assisting team members with various scopes of work where needed.
- Maintaining appropriate levels of stock/spare parts. Obtaining quotes and correct part information to seek approval.
- To undertake other tasks appropriate to your abilities and qualifications as necessary and agreed.
- Compliant with current company policies and procedures.
- Work as directed by management
- Other duties as required
- £31k salary + on call (£15/d week day, £35/d weekend and BH, plus getting paid for attending site) (including on call which is £1,700 approx, total would be £32,740 in total)
- Minimal other overtime unless project work/installations of equipment.
- Royal London Pension Scheme - 3% EE and 5% ER. Enrolled after 3 months' service but can choose to enrol before this.
