Assistant Caretaker

Workshop Recruitment are looking for an experienced handypersons/facilities assistant to work on various fabric maintenance contracts in the Hampshire area, this will include Portsmouth, Havant, Chichester and other areas. This is for one of our clients whose property portfolio includes, but not limited to, Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage Sites and Museums.
Minor maintenance tasks for plumbing, carpentry and decorating.
Regular building fabric works, porterage and grounds PPM tasks.
Carry out minor fabric and decorating repairs.
Be the “second person” on 2 person jobs alongside an engineer.
To ensure that the quality of work always meets the highest possible standards.
Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed.
Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry working on historic / listed buildings.
Be comfortable in dealing with residents / building representatives and always remain professional.
Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry.
Clean, Manual, Driving License
