Religion womenswear is looking for a freelance garment tech for 3 days a week, with optional additional days. We are very flexible and are a friendly small team based in London, Shoreditch. We are looking for someone that is hands on and is happy to help out. Starting contract 3 months with opportunity to extend. Starting date the 5th of January. Job requirements: ⁃ Min. 4 year's experience as a garment tech in a fashion company/ supplier required (freelance experience a bonus)⁃ Able to use excel and word ⁃ Experience with and/ or knowledge of patterns ⁃ The applicant needs to be confident and able to work in a fast pace environment ⁃ Multi product experience is a must. ⁃ Must have extensive knowledge of grading and tech packs ⁃ The applicant needs to be organised and be able to work autonomously garment tech duties Product development for Womens Liaise with and advise designers on garment construction and correct finishes for the brand. Assisting designers with size specs and correct blocks to use for factory tech packs. Measuring all development samples. Organise and carry out fitting sessions for all samples with designer. Complete all detailed production comments for factories to follow (comments must be clear for overseas workrooms to understand). Approve grading Inspect paper patterns from factories and adjust major fit problems manually (sleeves etc.)
