The Vulnerability Manager is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and remediating vulnerabilities in our assets, systems, and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of security controls, risk management, and vulnerability assessment techniques.
It’s an exciting and pivotal moment for us right now, with plenty of new projects ahead. Risk Prioritization: Analyse findings from vulnerability assessments and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk level, business impact, and compliance requirements.
Vulnerability Remediation: Collaborate with the IT and development teams to develop and implement remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that our organization's vulnerability management program aligns with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, Cybersecurity Essentials) and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and maintain security controls, such as EDR, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software, to prevent exploitation of identified vulnerabilities.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our vulnerability management program and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
Experience in cybersecurity or a related field
Experience with risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Strong understanding of security protocols, threat modeling, and risk management principles
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools in hybrid environments
Familiarity with DevOps practices and secure development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
Knowledge of penetration testing frameworks (e.g., Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash or PowerShell
