Mechanical Design Engineer (Aircraft Interiors)
Automotive Job Description
Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. - Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation (using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA). - Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets. - Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process. - Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams. - Qualifications - Previous experience and knowledge of Aircraft / Automotive seat design and surfaces is required - Solid design engineering track record - Proficient with 3D CAD / CATIA / Smarteam - Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly - BMS Documentation - ECRs / Engineering changes experience - Excellent communication skills Additional Information Long-term contract Salary/rate – depending on experience Inside and Outside IR35 considered Location: Bristol/South West 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays We are an equal opportunities employer and highly value Diversity and Inclusion.
