This post is based at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery at Queen's Square. The role will be providing inpatient & outpatient services to acute Neuromedical / neurosurgical / neuro-oncology wards, neuro-rehab wards and provide cover for medical/surgical HDU's.

Four year degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
Post registration training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Post graduate study in specialist area of dietetics e.g. PENG course, paediatric/renal modules

Post registration clinical experience in haemato-oncology
Knowledge of current issues relating to specialist area of dietetics

Experience of training student dietitians/other HCPCs


Experience in the support and development of junior members of staff
Health, Safety and Security
Knowledge & understanding of clinical governance and risk management and relevance to dietetics


Quality and service improvement
Experience in project management


Information collection and analysis including IT skills
Computer literacy

Equality and Diversity

To manage the physical effort of working between hospital sites, frequently moving up and down stairs, standing for long periods of time and carrying heavy folders.
To manage working in unpleasant conditions such as environments where there may be unpleasant sights, noises, smells and temperature fluctuations e.g. hospital wards
