Job Description

A forward-thinking firm specializing in building services, renowned for its tradition of excellence coupled with a contemporary engineering approach, is in search of a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design process for a range of projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of electrical installations.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and objectives, and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations.

Experience & Skills:

  • Must have recent building services design experience from a UK consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Around 5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering within the building services industry.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Dialux.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and British standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Experience working on a variety of project types, including commercial, retail, hotel, heritage, mixed use, and healthcare.
