Government Statistician

36 Per hour
6 Month Contract
Full Time - 37 hours per week
Hybrid - 1 to 3 days per week in either Newport, South Wales, Titchfield, Hampshire, Edinburgh or Darlington offices.
My client are a large prestigious government organisation and are looking for a Statistics Regulator/Analyst to come and join their team on an initial 6 month basis, paying £25.36 per hour, Inside IR35.
Applicants for this role should have a completed undergraduate or postgraduate degree (minimum 2:2) predominantly in economics, statistics or a related discipline with significant economics content.

Three years experience in a research, analytical or policy development role
Written communication - Proven ability to write for a wide range of audiences including technical and lay audiences and produce comprehensive and clearly written briefings, ideally with experience of having been published in academic journals or equivalent.
Work-load management - Proven ability to work under pressure, and under your own initiative, on a range of parallel projects and apply sensible judgements on when to draw on wider support.
