Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Required Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of optical components for scientific equipment. They are now looking a QHSE Manager to join their team, the successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality assurance and management experience. QHSE Manager Responsibilities: Maintain our ISO 9001 accreditation and implement an Integrated Management Systems to achieve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. This will include suggesting improvements required to achieve ISO 45001. Oversee internal audits on the application of the IMS and lead external audits. Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and legal obligations, regularly reviewing and updating policies and procedures and conduct risk assessments. Manage and grow the QA and Inspection team, ensuring delivery of inductions, training, and coaching. Assisting in the continued development of the QHSE department, advising on best practices and forming pragmatic recommendations for improvement. Oversee the inspection of products, managing the inspection department and conducting spot-checks. This will also include investigating causes of non-conformities, working with production leaders to discuss solutions.*Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and the responsibilities may change to align the needs of the business* Requirements: Experience maintaining a Quality Management System to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation. Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting. Experience in building or working with visual standards. In-depth knowledge and experience of quality control procedures, Health & Safety and environmental requirements, and relevant legal standards Direct inspection experience, for example, reading product specifications and schematics and use of tools including Micrometer and Vernier Caliper Competence in auditing and risk-assessing manufacturing processes Package: Mon- Fri 08:00-16:45 Company pension scheme Death-in-service benefit Private Health scheme (qualify after 6 months service) Cycle to Work scheme.
