Are you starting out on your journey as a Special Needs Teacher?

Perhaps you haven't decided what area of special needs you wish to specialise in.

Have you considered becoming a Supply Special Needs Teacher?

This would allow you to work in a range of local Special Needs schools that meet the vast needs of children across the area you live in. You would be able to experience the life of a Special Needs Teacher in each of the schools and discover for yourself where your strengths are.

This role is perfect for an ECT or an experienced teacher looking to begin their career as a Special Needs Teacher. It boasts flexibility of 'try before you buy' with regards to a future career and future schools that you could work in. All schools you are placed in have the potential of becoming permanent roles.

What you'll do as a Special Needs Teacher:

Implement tailored learning plans and adapted teaching materials
Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and parents

What you need to be as a Special Needs Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
Experience with special educational needs (desirable, not essential)

Information on the Special Needs Teacher role:

Pay- £(Apply online only) per day. This is equivalent to £(Apply online only) per week Full-Time. Day rate is dependent on qualifications, experience, and length of contract with school.

30pm Monday-Friday. Full-time and part-time positions available

Contract- Day-to-day supply work, short-term contract, long-term contract, temp to perm, and permanent roles available

Year- Key Stages 1-5 (Years 1-13, ages 5-19)

Qualifications- QTS essential
