About the role

To support Activate Parts and the wider business with Part Availability. Responsible for the management of a team of employees on site at Huntingdon where key areas of responsibility will include parts sourcing, minimising VOR and key to key time, resolving queries whilst providing excellent customer service and the ability to work within a team environment which is fast paced.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase the correct parts in line with customer expectations.
• Collaborating with Bodyshops Managers and other Parts Team to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs.
• Answering client queries
• Monitor the current parts inventory.
• Minimise VOR, Emergency Order and other charges by careful and planned use of parts ordering facilities, without adversely impacting on customer satisfaction.
• Ensure the parts margins are consistent and applied accurately.
• Pricing and sourcing parts to maintain profitability.
• Adhere to all relevant regulatory rules and guidance applicable to the role.
• Maintain databases to ensure orders are entered correctly and followed up by the team to close off including supplier invoices.
• Reporting and analysis to ensure compliance.
• Monitor any developments, legislation and events in the motor industry which will impact on future business opportunities or trading practices. Seek new products and opportunities to sell existing products actively and continuously
• Monitor job lead time and quality control.

Skills and experience

• Proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Experience working in a similar position
• Previous experience working in a Parts Department
• Excellent communication skills.
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• First class customer service skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all level
• Ability to work under pressure and manage staff.
