Freelance Site Manager (Fit-Out / FF&E)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to work with us at a new build hospital unit in the Chertsey area.

The temporary contract will run for approximately 12 weeks and is scheduled to start at the beginning of May 2024.

The Freelance Site Manager will be our main representative on site and will be the point-of-contact between us (the furniture supplier) and our client (the main contractor) for all our site-related operations.

Duties to include:

  • overseeing sub-contracted fit-out trades
  • managing the sign off process between rooms as they are completed
  • liaising with the main contractor and reporting any potential issues or programme changes back to HQ
  • helping our project admin team orchestrate deliveries
  • site surveying as phases become available.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Fit-Out Trades

To be the company’s site representative overseeing all relevant installation teams; ranging from long-time trusted sub-contractors to new suppliers.

  • Manage Sign-Off

Oversee the sign-off process as rooms and phases are completed by the installation teams, ensuring our client is completely satisfied and that snags / defects are either resolved on-site or reported to us as swiftly as possible.

  • Site Surveys

Conduct site surveys of relevant areas as needed, reporting back the findings, allowing us to confidently manufacture the furniture to suit.

  • Liaise with Project Stakeholders

Be available on-site to liaise with our client, solve problems as they arise, oversee delivery logistics, and attend regular meetings with our client’s project managers. The Site Manager will also be required to produce regular and clear progress reports.

  • Health & Safety

Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to comply with health and safety regulations. Responsible for ensuring the RAMS are updated and issued as necessary.

  • Quality Control

To ensure all final installations are of an exemplary standard of quality. As a leading supplier of specialist furniture into the mental healthcare sector we pride ourselves on our attention to detail at all levels.
