We are hiring for a Senior IT Infrastructure Manager who has previous experience of migrating from on-prem to Azure cloud infrastructure.

The role is paying £80,000 and will work hybrid near Birmingham.

As Senior IT Infrastructure Manager, you will hold an integral lead role within the technology team, for the management of Azure and Cloud Services. You will provide subject matter expert knowledge and lead on the design, build and deployment of infrastructure components into Azure.

This is a new cloud migration so you would be working on building roadmaps and setting strategies. Your role as Senior Infrastructure Manager would help to set the direction and tone of the migration, so you'll have loads of scope and influence to make a real impact.

You would be an excellent fit for this position if you have previously completed an on-prem to Azure migration, where you have managed an Infrastructure team, worked with external partners, looked at capabilities, implemented a best practice approach, put governance in place, and set up a cloud centre of excellence.

As Senior IT Infrastructure Manager, you will:

  • Lead, manage and motivate a high-performing infrastructure team of Architects and Engineers
  • Lead the Azure Cloud migration journey, including architecture planning and documentation.
  • Act as Azure SME for cloud governance and defining the Azure platform.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver the cloud migration. Implementing best practice, looking at capability mapping, understanding resource allocation, putting governance in pace, setting up cloud centre of excellence etc.
  • Translate business requirements into technical cloud solutions.
  • Work across multiple infrastructure projects and guide your team to effective project delivery.

This is therefore an excellent opportunity to lead on a new cloud migration as a senior manager as part of a broad business transformation project.

If you have the following experience, you would be an excellent fit as Senior IT Infrastructure Manager:

  • Experience of delivering Azure Cloud migration projects and managing Azure Landing Zones.
  • Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support).
  • Experience of working with and managing external partners to deliver cloud transformation projects.
  • Experience of leading and managing infrastructure teams.
