We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for the position of Assistant Headteacher in charge of Personal Development at Old Hill Primary School & Nursery. We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and driven senior leader who believes in the transformational power of education, will promote exemplary standards in both academic and pastoral areas of school life and will contribute to the overall development of our school.
Your primary role will involve nurturing the personal development of our pupils, with a focus on PSHE/RSE education, fostering an ethos of promoting active and healthy lifestyles, equipping pupils with skills for thriving in contemporary Britain, and coordinating enrichment, sporting and extracurricular programs. You will also work with other senior leaders to lead on a specific area within a core subject, for example Key Stage 2 reading.
You will have a teaching commitment of 40%, allowing you to continue excellent teaching in the classroom whilst providing time outside of this to focus on Personal Development.
